FAQ for the area of the Bavarian town of Leavenworth WA, the Upper Valley, and Lake Wenatchee, Fish Lake Recreation Area.

If you have an emergency, Dial 911 and report your emergency. Then notify Featherwinds Staff, by calling 763-0698. Featherwinds Staff will help direct emergency services to your lodged location. If you use your cell phone to call 911, you many connect to your local 911 operator, not the 911 operator for Chelan County. Please use the land line phone located in the building you have rented, if reasonable.
Check in is anytime after 3:00pm. All check in's should be done at the Bed and Breakfast Guest Inn even if you have booked either The Country Cottage, The Garden Guest Lodge, or the Frontier Cabin.
Check out time for all of our facilities is 11:00am. Please do not leave keys in the lodges, please return keys back to the Bed and Breakfast Guest Inn.
All of our published lodging rates for our Cabins, Lodges, Vacation Rental Homes include basic cleaning fees. If for some reason there is excessive cleaning required, your credit card will be charged accordingly.
Please use our driving directions and map provided on this website. Some navigation systems are not accurate! So please do not rely on your navigation system or internet mapping websites. Our written directions and map are provided on our website for you. Using our directions will bring you directly to Featherwinds from Highway 2, either east or west of Leavenworth.
Gift certificates are available. You can order gift certificates online at: Gift Certificates. Gift certificates are valid for 6 months after date of purchase. No refunds are given on gift certificates.
Featherwinds has on-site staff and maintenance personnel should there be any problems, issues or concerns during your stay. During the first hour after check in, you are to contact the main office concerning any issues you discover upon arrival. Within the first hour of your stay you should walk through the facility you have booked to make sure there are no issues. Should an issue arise during the course of your stay, you should contact the main office immediately. Please do not wait until check out to discuss maintenance issues. Contact information is listed at each lodge/cabin, near the telephone.
Lodging at our Bed and Breakfast Guest Inn has no lodging minimums with the exception of festival, holiday and wedding weekends - two night minimum. Lodging in our cabins, lodges and vacation rental homes are a minimum two night stay unless otherwise posted on our blog or website.
Pets are not allowed at any of our facilities. No pets are allowed even if they are to be kept outside. Our extreme hot and cold temperatures are not good for animals unless they are use to this area. Due to allergies and health issues, pets are not allowed in any of our facilities and we do not provide a clean up service for animals. Day Use Only Guests are not allowed to bring pets. Bringing or allowing pets on our property or in one of our facilities will require extreme clean services which will include but not limited to carpet cleaning, wall washing; this will result in a additional cleaning fee of at least $500.00
Smoking is not allowed inside any of our facilities, because of state law and because of health issues, we do not allowing smoking our facilities. There is an outside smoking area at each of our facilities. Smoking areas are located or near parking areas.
For any and all accommodations here at Featherwinds, there is a two-night minimum stay and NO CANCELLATION required for weddings, holidays and festival weekends.
We charge your credit card a minimum of one night stay or half the total booked value; whichever is greater, any added services and tax as deposit at time of booking. There is a seventy-two (72) hour notice required prior to your arrival date for any cancellations. There is a $20.00 processing fee charged at time of cancellation. No refunds will be made if cancellation is within seventy-two (72) hours of arrival date. If we are able to rebook your canceled accommodations within the seventy-two hours after you notify us, we will refund, less a $35.00 cancellation fee.
We charge your credit card 50% of the booked value at time of booking. The remaining balance is due forty-five (45) days prior to arrival. Cancellation forty-five (45) days or more prior to arrival date is subject to a cancellation fee equal to fifty percent (50%) OF THE TOTAL BOOKED VALUE. If notification is less then forty-five (45) days prior to arrival date, there will be no refund unless the premises is re-booked for the canceled days. In the event refunds are granted, the refund will be only equal to the extent the premises are occupied, less a $35.00 cancellation fee. No refund for deletion of guests within forty-five (45) days prior to arrival date. There will be no refund for any unused portion of your stay. Damage deposit, check or credit card authorization must be provided upon arrival. Valid credit card information and authorization is required in lieu of a damage deposit.

Each of our lodges, cabins and vacation homes have a private phone line for local calls and The Bed and Breakfast Guest Inn has a phone available to registered guests of the Inn. A calling card is required for any long distance phone calls. Cell phone coverage is not reliable in the mountain areas.
